Eight Earthquakes Recorded in Tajikistan in One Day

Eight earthquakes occurred in eastern Tajikistan on Thursday, with no casualties or damages reported, according to an official statement from the country's emergency situations committee.

"The first tremors were registered at 05:37 local time (04:37 Yerevan time). The epicenter of the earthquakes was located 67 km west of the center of the Murghab district, situated in eastern Tajikistan, 400 km southeast of the city of Dushanbe and 30 km east of Lake Sarez. The focus of the earthquakes was at a depth of 10 km," the statement said.

At the epicenter, the magnitude was recorded at 6.8, and the depth was 20.5 kilometers," the document noted. Additionally, it is worth mentioning that a 7.3 magnitude earthquake occurred in Tajikistan, near the border of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in northwestern China.
