Ecuador Begins Constructing Buildings from Cocaine
Ecuador has started constructing buildings from processed cocaine, becoming the first country in the world to utilize this technology, reports Mir.
The republic was compelled to resort to such measures due to the overwhelming increase in the number of seized illegal substances.
Every week, hundreds of packages of cocaine are delivered to processing plants, where they are crushed along with other waste materials. The powder is mixed with cement, sand, and water. The resulting material is used as a foundation in construction.
This method of utilization is believed to be four times faster than incineration.
Ecuador has announced that it has already managed to process 350 tons of cocaine.
