Pashinyan Meets with EU Civilian Operations Commander: Details

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the Commander of the European Union's Civilian Operations, Stefano Tomatini, and his delegation today, which included the head of the EU's new monitoring mission in Armenia, Markus Ritter. This was reported by the Government of Armenia.

The Prime Minister welcomed the decision to deploy the EU's long-term civilian monitoring mission in Armenia and emphasized that it will contribute to regional stability and peace.

The EU Civilian Operations Commander expressed gratitude to the Armenian side for the support given to the mission and discussed the work to be carried out in Armenia.

During the meeting, there was an exchange of ideas on issues related to the EU civilian monitoring mission and the agenda for cooperation.

The European Union's civilian mission commenced its operations in Armenia on February 20. The mission consists of approximately 100 personnel, all of whom are civilians, including around 50 unarmed observers.
