New Details on Gas Station Explosion
On February 19, at 11:45 AM, the Aragatsotn regional crisis management center received information about an explosion of a gas cylinder at a gas station near the village of Katnaghbyur along the Yerevan-Gyumri highway. There are three injured individuals, and three vehicles have been damaged; assistance from rescuers is required. This was reported by the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.
An operational group from the regional rescue department and a fire-rescue unit were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that at the 65th km of the Yerevan-Gyumri highway, a gas cylinder exploded during refueling on the 'Sapeyan Brothers' LLC gas station attached to a 'GAZ-3110' vehicle (driver G. Sh., born in 1978). Nearby parked vehicles, specifically a 'BMW' and a 'Mercedes-Benz' (driver H. K.), sustained damage.
As a result of the explosion, injuries were reported among drivers G. Sh., H. K., and gas station employee P. M. (born in 1992), while the passenger A. M. (born in 1978) of the 'GAZ-3110' experienced a deterioration in health. They were hospitalized in the hospital of Talin city before the arrival of the rescuers, where doctors assessed their health condition as satisfactory.
