I Will Do Everything Dependent on Me: Vardanyan Summarizes His First 100 Days in Office
There is a tradition to discuss the first 100 days in office: to summarize what has been accomplished, what issues have been identified, what actions have been planned, and how the directions for development and vision are perceived. Of my 100 days in office, 67 have been spent under blockade. In other words, we have been under blockade for 1,600 hours.
This was stated by Ruben Vardanyan, the State Minister of the Republic of Artsakh, while summarizing his first 100 days in office.
In light of these circumstances, I consider it an achievement that the Operational Headquarters was able to fulfill its assigned tasks, finding solutions to the new challenges that arose daily, and, most importantly, preventing possible collapses in various sectors.
This past 100 days, despite the complexities, were a period of remarkable discoveries. I have tried, primarily as a person who has assumed the position of State Minister, to study and understand what is happening within the state system and in Artsakh. I have tried my best to avoid failure in the midst of a severe crisis. This is a phase of united struggle and resistance for all of us.
Throughout this time, we have been under constant external pressure and internal opposition, yet we have not allowed these to disrupt our plans.
At the beginning of my tenure, we examined the issues and predetermined paths for their resolution, guided by clearly formulated principles: a systematic approach, consistency, transparency, communication, discipline, teamwork, as well as faith in our own strengths, justice, authority, and the future, and respect for knowledge, traditions, and work.
We have created a unique collective that has united, working side by side, members of the government, parliamentarians, and representatives from the public and private sectors.
Today, I can confidently say what Artsakh is. During these two months of blockade, we have seen that our people do not wish to surrender or abandon Artsakh. They are willing to endure every hardship, possessing sufficient will and perseverance to navigate through these trials. We must be worthy of leading this nation.
We have everything we need to overcome this historically complex phase: faith, will, spirit, and unity. I believe that spirit and will can bring success even in the face of minimal opportunities. And I will do everything dependent on me to achieve that.
This is only the beginning of a long journey,” he stated.
