Video: Wild Boars' Winter Walk in Khosrov Forest

Camera traps set up in the Khosrov Forest have captured footage of a group of wild boars. The video of the boars 'walking' in the Khosrov Forest has been shared on the Facebook social network. The footage shows five wild boars searching for food in a snow-covered field.

It is noteworthy that wild boars were once a common species across all regions of Armenia, but their numbers have sharply decreased since the outbreak of swine fever in 2007. Wild boars typically inhabit forests and areas with water.

They are omnivorous and usually have one litter a year, consisting of 4-6 piglets. The lifespan of these animals can reach up to 14 years in the wild and up to 20 years in captivity.
