VIDEO: An Asteroid Explodes in the Atmosphere Dividing England and France

An asteroid with a diameter of 1 meter, known as 'Sar2667', exploded this morning as it passed through the atmosphere over the English Channel, which separates England and France.

The asteroid was also visible from southern England, Wales, and Paris. American physicist Mark Boslough from Los Alamos National Laboratory told Wales Online that events of this magnitude occur several times a year, and that predictable situations are rare.

Shortly before the asteroid exploded, a warning was issued to the town of Royville in France that asteroids capable of entering the atmosphere could fall. Images of the asteroid have been shared by numerous social media users in the region.

Details can be found in the video.
