Road Closures in Armenia: Current Situation on Highways

The Rescue Service reports that there are closed roads in the territory of Armenia.

Closed are the roads from the high-altitude meteorological station "Amberd" in Aragatsotn region leading to Amberd Fortress and Kʼari Lake. There are also icy conditions on the roads in the regions of Aghvani-Tatev, Sisian-"Zanger," and some sections of the highways in Aragatsotn region.

Snow is falling in the regions of Amasia and the city of Hrazdan. Blizzards are observed in the Ashotsk region.

Regarding the Lars situation, according to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of North Ossetia of the Russian Federation, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
