US Provides Target Coordinates for Ukraine's HIMARS Strikes, Washington Post
The Washington Post has reported that the US is providing Ukraine with target coordinates for strikes using HIMARS.
According to Ukrainian officials, they almost never launch HIMARS shells without detailed coordinates provided by American soldiers stationed in other parts of Europe. A senior American official has also confirmed this.
He stated that "assistance in targeting helps conserve ammunition with limited supplies and enhances precision." He emphasized that Ukraine does not ask the US for permission on which targets to hit.
The US provides target coordinates and precise information solely as advisory support, the newspaper's source added.
