Video: Two Arrested for Mocking Earthquake Victims in Turkey
Turkish news outlet Hürriyet reports that Turkish authorities have arrested two residents of Istanbul who mocked individuals trapped in the rubble following the earthquakes on February 6.
The suspects posted a video on social media that sparked intense reactions and condemnation.
According to the news outlet, criminal cases have been initiated against the suspects.
It is noted that the citizens trapped in the rubble received calls from the suspects via Discord.
The trapped individuals were reportedly told, "We are coming to rescue you," followed by laughter and mocking comments.
Two mobile phones and one computer have been confiscated from the suspects.
