The Sooner Issues Are Resolved, the Soonest the 'Malatia' Market Will Reopen: Ministry of Urban Development
Intensive work is underway at the 'Malatia' market to address issues identified by the Republic of Armenia's Ministry of Urban Development, Fire Safety, and Technical Security Inspectorial Body. This information was shared with Sputnik Armenia by Elena Zohrapyan, the spokesperson for the Ministry.
Our employees visited the market area today and noted that significant efforts are being made to eliminate the identified problems. The sooner the issues are resolved, the sooner the market will reopen, said Zohrapyan.
It is worth recalling that the inspectorial body suspended the operations of the 'Malatia' market on February 1, as the operator did not rectify several of the 17 recorded violations, which could pose threats of fire occurrence, spread, and risks to public safety.
