The Situation is Satisfactory at Present: Avanesyan Discusses the Health of Burned Soldiers

The Minister of Health, Anahit Avanesyan, stated in a conversation with reporters that the health condition of the soldiers who sustained burns is satisfactory.

“As you know, burn patients usually require a long period of treatment, and in some cases, we have a surgical phase as well. Therefore, at this moment, the condition is satisfactory, and necessary medical assistance is being provided. Moreover, any additional measures needed for their health recovery will be implemented in the near future,” she said.

Avanesyan added that the lives of three soldiers receiving treatment for burns are not in danger.

It is noteworthy that on January 19, around 01:30, a fire broke out in the barracks of the engineering company of the Ministry of Defense's N unit, located in the village of Azat in the Gegharkunik region. As a result of the fire, 15 soldiers lost their lives.
