Russia Has Already Lost Almost All Battles, Says Zurabishvili

Since Russia has been defeated, it should also withdraw from Georgian territories, stated Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili in an interview with Bloomberg.

“Russia has already lost almost all battles; if not the entire war, then the future diplomatic resolution of Russia's large-scale war against Ukraine must also include the issue of the withdrawal of Russian troops from Abkhazia and South Ossetia,” she said.

According to her, the Georgian issue must simply be placed on the negotiation table, as “it is unacceptable to even entertain the thought that this war will end without Russia withdrawing from all occupied territories.”

“Russia needs to learn where its borders lie,” emphasized the Georgian leader, referring not only to the Russo-Ukrainian but also the Russo-Georgian border. She added that if the West does not demand the complete withdrawal of Russian occupying forces, it will make “one more big mistake, as significant as those made in 2008 and 2014.”
