Israel Strikes Hamas Weapons Production Facilities

On the night of Thursday, February 2, Israeli aircraft launched strikes on facilities associated with the Palestinian Hamas movement related to weapons production. This was announced on Twitter by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

According to the statement, "In response to rocket fire directed at Israel from the Gaza Strip, Israeli Air Force fighter jets today struck Hamas terrorist organization facilities involved in the production of chemical materials and weapons." The IDF also stated that Hamas is responsible for "all terrorist activities emanating from the Gaza Strip." Furthermore, Israeli defense forces warned Hamas that the Palestinian movement will bear responsibility for the consequences of security violations in the country.
