Iran Identifies Drone Manufacturer Behind Attacks on Its Soil
Iranian security forces have identified the manufacturer of the drones that attacked a defense ministry facility in the city of Isfahan. This information was reported by the ISNA news agency, citing sources close to Iran's Supreme National Security Council. The agency did not disclose the name of the manufacturer.
“As a result of the technical examination of the parts of one of the downed drones during the attack on the military facility in Isfahan, valuable information has been revealed and provided to the security agencies. Thanks to the analysis of the drone’s components, engines, power supply, and navigation system, along with the correlation with available samples, the manufacturer of the drones has been accurately determined,” the report stated.
It is noteworthy that on the night of January 29, a powerful explosion was heard in the central city of Isfahan. Later, the Iranian Ministry of Defense reported an unsuccessful attempt to attack one of its military facilities with drones loaded with explosives. One of the drones was shot down, while the other two fell into defensive traps and exploded.
The Iranian Ministry of Defense has commented on the drone attack in the direction of Isfahan's defense complex. On the same night, an explosion and subsequent fire occurred at an oil production facility in the country's northwest. Al-Jazeera, citing an Iranian official, reported that preliminary evidence suggests Israeli involvement in the attack in Isfahan.
