A Fellow Soldier Arrested in Connection to Another Soldier's Gunshot Wound Case: Gor Abrahamyan

In the case concerning a soldier's gunshot wound, a fellow serviceman has been charged and subsequently arrested. This information was provided by Gor Abrahamyan, spokesperson for the Investigative Committee.

On January 29, 2023, during an incident where a conscript soldier was discharging a weapon attached to a fellow serviceman, a shot was fired, resulting in injury to that soldier. As part of the criminal proceedings initiated by the Ninth Garrison Investigative Division of the Military Investigative Main Department of the RA Investigative Committee, the assistant to the position of senior commander has been charged under Part 2 of Article 532 of the RA Criminal Code.

The prosecuting body has submitted a request to the court to select arrest as a measure of restraint, which has been granted. Investigative and evidentiary actions are ongoing to clarify the circumstances of the case.
