Iran Rejects Current Proposal to Rejoin Nuclear Agreement: Blinken
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated that Iran has rejected the current proposal to rejoin the nuclear agreement, adding that Washington still believes diplomacy is the most effective way to address the Iranian nuclear issue.
In an exclusive interview with Al Arabiya, Blinken also noted that Iranian youth are standing up for their fundamental rights against the Tehran regime. He emphasized U.S. support for the people of Iran, underlining that the decision for 'regime change' ultimately lies with the people.
He added, 'The Iranian regime convinces its people that the U.S. wants regime change.' Furthermore, he highlighted that Iran supports Russia in its war against Ukraine by providing drones and other weaponry, expressing concerns about this development.
He emphasized that U.S. President Joe Biden is determined not to allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons, explaining that all options are on the table to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear arms.
