China Blames the US as the Main Driving Force in the Russia-Ukraine War

“If the US really cares about the Ukrainian people, it should stop supplying arms,” stated Mao Ning, the official representative of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a press briefing.

“The US is the main initiator and driving force behind the Ukrainian crisis, constantly supplying heavy and offensive weapons to Ukraine, prolonging the conflict and making it more intense,” Mao Ning said. He urged Washington to “stop profiting from war” and “responsibly contribute to de-escalation,” by creating conditions for peaceful negotiations among the “interested parties.”

“Instead of reflecting on its actions, the American side is making unfounded suspicions and accusations against China. We will not accept such baseless coercion; we will not sit idly by and watch as the US unjustifiably violates legal rights and the interests of Chinese companies,” Mao Ning added, commenting on reports that Chinese state companies are providing military and financial aid to Russia in the Ukrainian conflict, as reported by RIA Novosti.
