Video: Should Pashinyan and Papikyan Resign? The Question Infuriated Sasun Mikayelyan
I do not think the Lachin corridor has been closed without the Russians. This was stated today, January 28, by the President of the Union of Volunteers of Armenia, Sasun Khachatryan, during an interview with journalists at the Yerablur Military Pantheon.
“Whatever they want, they can’t open it? This is a politics that leads to a distance, and for this reason, we must be united and understand what is happening in the future,” he said.
When asked whether it would be possible to open the Lachin corridor without a war, Mikayelyan answered, “If we can take serious actions in the diplomatic field... everything is in diplomacy today, we must be able to present those demands in those platforms.”
Regarding the deployment of EU mission observers in Armenia for two years, the EU president said, “If Russia is still saying that everything should be settled within the framework of the co-chairs, then why did they bring in only Russian peacekeepers? I consider it important that other peacekeepers also enter because these peacekeepers are taking unilateral actions to our detriment.”
The head of the board of the Union of Volunteers of Armenia and a member of the Civil Contract party, Sasun Mikayelyan, commenting on the recent fire incident at the Gegharkunik military unit, stated that it occurred due to the shortcomings of the command staff. “Yes, they have been removed from their positions, what would they have done if they remained? If they had served normally, this would not have happened.”
When asked whether Pashinyan and Papikyan should resign, Mikayelyan became infuriated.
