4 Steps to End the Ukrainian Conflict: A Proposal to the U.S.
The American RAND Corporation research center has published a report entitled “How to Avoid a Prolonged War: U.S. Policy and the Trajectory of the Russo-Ukrainian Conflict,” in which it outlines four steps that U.S. authorities should take to regulate the situation.
Experts have concluded that delaying the crisis is not beneficial for Washington. The U.S. could compel the Ukrainian side to sit at the negotiating table by urging them to accept military assistance as a condition, analysts emphasized.
Additionally, American experts have called on local authorities to specify the conditions for easing anti-Russian sanctions. On January 27, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on former White House chief Donald Trump’s statements that he could end the conflict in Ukraine within 24 hours, stating that American leader Joe Biden could also swiftly conclude the conflict if he wanted to by giving orders to the Kyiv regime.
