Video: Over 100 Drug Packages Placed on the Streets of Gyumri; 28-Year-Old Yerevan Resident Arrested

On January 20, police officers from the Mush Division arrested a 28-year-old resident of the capital on suspicion of illegal drug possession, preparation, and distribution on Tehleryan Street in Gyumri. His Ford vehicle was taken to a secure area of the police department.

The young man was found to be in possession of two polyethylene bags containing a dark brown substance, each holding 10 packages. According to the arrested individual, this substance is hashish, which he had acquired through one of the Telegram channels and was intended to be placed in various neighborhoods of Gyumri.

He also revealed that on the day of his arrest, he had already placed 5 packages filled with marijuana on Tehleryan Street in Gyumri.

On the same day, as part of a criminal investigation initiated at the Shirak Regional Investigative Department, the arrested man indicated the locations of the 5 packages he had placed at various spots on Tehleryan Street. Additionally, he pointed out where he was supposed to pick up 20 packages of marijuana on Lalayan Street and 30 packages from the road to Hatik village, which he was also planning to distribute.

The young man’s vehicle was also searched as part of the criminal proceedings, and 56 packages, resembling marijuana, were found inside.

The investigation is ongoing.
