Danish Ambassador Summoned by Turkey's Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Turkey's Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Danish ambassador in Ankara today to express their protest over the permission granted for an act of desecration of the Quran in Copenhagen, reported a source from the ministry.

It should be noted that Rasmus Paludan, who previously burned the Quran in front of the Turkish embassy in Sweden, repeated his act today in front of the Turkish embassy in Copenhagen.

On January 21, the Quran, the holy book of Muslims, was burned at the Turkish embassy in Stockholm, having previously received authorization from Swedish authorities for this action. Turkish President stated on January 23 that Sweden should not expect Turkey's support for its NATO membership application.

On Monday, another demonstration was held in The Hague, during which several pages of the Quran were torn out and subsequently burned.
