This is the Only Way to Keep Artsakh Armenian, Says Security Council Secretary on Necessary Actions
The State Minister of the Republic of Artsakh and head of the Operational Headquarters, Ruben Vardanyan, visited the communities of Noragugh, Khndzristan, and Patara in the Askeran region, where he met with residents from these villages and nearby settlements.
Emphasizing the importance of direct communication with the population, Ruben Vardanyan stated that it is crucial to provide residents with firsthand information and to listen to them during this crisis, in order to overcome the challenges together.
“I believe this is the most effective form of communication in Artsakh. We are indeed facing significant difficulties, but substantial efforts are being made to overcome them, as we try to advance by finding solutions to new problems that arise every day,” he noted.
He provided detailed information about the current situation regarding food supplies, gasoline and diesel fuel, electricity, and gas supply, as well as the other consequences of the blockade and its impact on the economy, along with the steps taken and planned by the Operational Headquarters.
The State Minister pointed out that work is being carried out in all possible directions to lift the blockade, but on the other hand, the government must be prepared to ensure that the population's minimum vital needs are met under all possible scenarios.
Discussing the reasons for the blockade, he emphasized that Azerbaijan is trying to break the spirit of the Artsakh Armenians in every way and aims to achieve the depopulation of Artsakh through pressure. He expressed pride in witnessing the resilience of the Artsakh Armenians.
“We must go through these trials to keep Artsakh Armenian and protect our right to live with dignity on our land. This is a difficult path. I cannot promise that there will be no issues, but I assure you that this is the only way to preserve our homeland,” he stated.
Participants in the meetings across all three communities assured that they see no alternative to this path and are ready to face all difficulties for that goal. In this context, there was a discussion about the necessity of organizing agricultural activities and spring planting on time, which was also highlighted from the perspective of food security.
The State Minister noted that everything possible will be done to ensure timely organization of the spring planting activities and to implement other programs aimed at the development of agriculture.
