The revenue collection of communities in the regions of Armenia has actually increased compared to 2021. In 2022, the actual revenue growth amounted to 8 billion 036 million AMD, excluding the city of Yerevan, which is an increase of 3 billion 567 million AMD, representing a 13% rise compared to the previous year. These figures were presented to the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Gnel Sanosyan, during a meeting of regional governors, as reported on his Facebook page.

During the consultation, issues related to the construction, renovation, and reconstruction of 300 schools and 500 kindergartens, as outlined in the Armenian government program, were discussed.

Gnel Sanosyan instructed to establish strict oversight for the proper implementation of subsidized programs. “Do not accept and do not pay for any work that has been completed with deficiencies,” he stated.

During the consultation, the minister was briefed on the amendments made to the law on “Territorial Administration,” as well as questions regarding the regulations, structure, and related operations of the staffs of regional governors.

“An analysis of the subsidized programs aimed at the development of community infrastructure in Armenia implemented in 2022 was also reported, along with the process of accepting subsidized applications for 2023. Already, 447 applications have been received for 2023, with a preliminary total budget of 112 billion AMD. The results of the ongoing monitoring of the subsidies and the recorded deficiencies were also presented,” wrote Sanosyan.

Consultations with the regional governors will now have a periodic nature.
