Known When the 'Malatia' Marketplace Will Close and Under What Conditions It Will Reopen
Today it became known that the operations of the 'Malatia' marketplace will soon be suspended, as the operator has not rectified the violations noted by the inspector.
Auroranews contacted the head of the awareness department at the Urban Development, Technical and Fire Safety Inspection Body, Elena Zohrapyan, to understand what violations are being referred to and when the operator's activities will be suspended.
Zohrapyan stated in our conversation that the marketplace must close by the end of this month, as the inspection body has identified 17 instances of violations of fire safety rules.
“Earlier, the operator was given time to rectify the existing issues and ensure compliance with the established norms, after which the 'Malatia' marketplace director contacted us and mentioned that the noted issues had been resolved. Our employees conducted another inspection, during which they recorded violations of fire safety regulations, after which a decision was made to suspend the marketplace's activities until all relevant norms are upheld,” she said.
According to Zohrapyan, the operator can resume operations only after rectifying the existing safety issues.
