Baku Demands Urgent Closure of Metsamor Nuclear Power Plant
Azerbaijani media reports that Baku is demanding the urgent closure of Armenia's nuclear power plant.
“The operation of the Metsamor Nuclear Power Plant must be urgently halted to avoid disasters similar to Chernobyl and Fukushima, and its radioactive waste should be placed under strict international control,” stated Azerbaijan's Commissioner for Human Rights, Sabina Aliyeva.
