State Duma States Vehicles Must Book Date and Time for Border Crossing

The proposed amendment to book the date and time for crossing the border will only apply to freight vehicles. This was announced by Evgeny Moskvichev, head of the Transport Committee of the State Duma of Russia.

According to him, the proposed approach will help avoid queues at border crossings. “This way, it will be possible to access a governmental system in advance that will determine the specific day, time, and minute of crossing the border,” said the committee chairman.

It should be noted that we previously reported that the State Duma of Russia is discussing a new draft law stating that citizens of Russia leaving the country by car must book the date and time for crossing the border in advance.
