Yellow Weather Warning Issued in Moscow Due to Wind and Sleet

The Hydrometeorological Center has declared a yellow level weather hazard in Moscow and the Moscow region due to wind and sleet. This is indicated by the data on the forecast map available on their website.

"Yellow weather is potentially dangerous," the statement reads. The ice warning in the capital and Moscow region will last until January 24 at 10:00 AM.

Earlier, Tatyana Pozdnyakova, a leading expert from the Meteonovosti information portal, discussed the weather in Moscow this week, predicting minor frost for the city's residents.

Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, mentioned that snowfall is expected in Moscow at the end of January, with snow cover reaching heights of 29-34 cm. He noted that heavy snowfalls are anticipated on January 30 and 31.

Roman Vilfand, the scientific director of Russia's Hydro-Meteorological Center, reported that dry weather is expected in Moscow at the beginning of the next week.
