I Exclude That The Enemy Could Enter Our Village: A Resident of Movses Discusses the Committed Crime
Vova Vardanyan, a resident of the village of Movses in the Tavush region, has suffered the most from the actions of the alleged criminal or criminals. Two days ago, he discovered burned animal feed, wheelbarrow tires, and other shredded vehicle tires around his house.
"As soon as it got light, I went out to feed the cow, and my fellow villagers told me that my hay had been set on fire. I thought they were joking, but when I approached, I saw that the hay in the 'Willis' trailer and some of the car tires had burned. Then, when I returned from the barn, I noticed that the 'Zhiguli' car parked outside had its tires slashed. I thought maybe it had just been sitting there for some time, but it turned out they had been cut with a knife. There were 27 bales of hay in the trailer, and luckily, the fire didn't spread to the other hay or burnt anything else. I tied my cow in the barn, so I was lucky that it didn't burn either," Vova told NEWS.am.
According to him, this is the first time such an event has occurred in the village. He immediately reported the incident to the village head.
However, Vova Vardanyan's family is not the only one affected in Movses. He mentioned that a total of six vehicle tires were slashed, as well as damage to the village's combine tires, and a speaker was stolen from one of the residents' vehicles.
"That same night, one of our residents heard a sound at home, went outside to check what it was, and saw two people fleeing the area," Vova Vardanyan recounted.
The resident of this border village has no idea who could have caused the damage. He excludes the possibility that the enemy could have entered the village. "There is law, there is a uniformed officer; let them go find those responsible. I exclude that the enemy could have entered our village; since 1988, no enemy has dared to enter this area," Vova Vardanyan said.
It is noteworthy that in Movses, an unknown individual or individuals have slashed tires and burned animal feed.
