VIDEO: Once Again I Want to Call for Unity - Anna Hakobyan

At the closing session of the "First International Congress of Influential Women" in Tehran, Prime Minister Pashinyan's wife, Anna Hakobyan, addressed the idea of peace. In her speech, she emphasized that this congress aligns with her initiative of the "Women for Peace" campaign. Anna Hakobyan stated that the role and influence of women should be duly appreciated in the lives of all peoples around the world, both in education and in opening a new era of peace.

"To recognize each other and to speak does not mean to weaken and lose. The September 2020 war was directed not only against Artsakh but also against the entire Armenian nation. Shortly after the war, staying true to the idea of the peace campaign, I addressed the first ladies of various nations through an open letter, urging cooperation to prevent further bloodshed and to collectively achieve the long-awaited peace. Now, when the road connecting Nagorno-Karabakh to the Republic of Armenia is blocked by Azerbaijan, and when my 120,000 compatriots find themselves in complete siege, dreaming of cherished peace, I again want to call for unity among you:

Dear ladies, let us unite our efforts for the noble cause of peace, which will surely silence all artillery, bullets, and weapons. Peace is not an abstract idea; it is possible where there is faith in it.
