UK Prime Minister Sunak Fined for Traffic Violation
UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has been fined for not wearing a seatbelt while sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle.
During a visit to Lancashire on Thursday, Sunak posted a video on social media announcing an increase in investments in the region's economy. In the video, he is seen seated in the back of the car without a seatbelt while the vehicle is in motion.
The British police have promised to investigate the video. Later, a spokesperson for the Prime Minister apologized on his behalf.
Following the imposition of the fine, the Prime Minister's office announced that Sunak would pay the penalty. The fine amounts to £100 or $123.
