Deputy Director of Burn Center on Soldiers' Health Condition
It is still too early to talk about the health condition of three soldiers who were transferred to the Burn Center following a fire that broke out in the barracks of an engineering battalion located in the village of Azat, Gegharkunik province, either positively or negatively.
Karine Babayan, the Deputy Director of the Burn Center, told “News” that they are still in a stable critical condition, and one of them has been connected to a ventilator.
Babayan noted that this was anticipated given the respiratory burns, as swelling occurs which can impede breathing. Consequently, we have moved to artificial ventilation; after some time, when the swelling decreases, we will proceed to extubation.
