The Oldest Person on the Planet Has Died

At the age of 118, the oldest person on the planet, French nun Sister André (born Lucile Randon), has passed away. This was reported by TACC, citing the French news agency AFP.

According to a representative from the nursing home in Toulon where Sister André lived since 2009, her death occurred while she was sleeping.

Lucile Randon was born in France on February 11, 1904. She was recognized as the world's oldest living resident following the death of Japanese woman Kane Tanaka on April 26, 2022, at the age of 119.
