Ruben Vardanyan Discusses Collaboration Efforts

The Minister of State of the Republic of Artsakh, Ruben Vardanyan, held an expanded consultation today with the participation of the heads of state bodies.

The minister indicated that the ongoing blockade by Azerbaijan necessitates not only urgent decision-making regarding pressing issues but also requires reorganization of work methods. He emphasized that the new challenges can only be faced through coordinated and teamwork efforts. In this context, he deemed discipline and transparent work as crucial.

Ruben Vardanyan pointed out that despite Azerbaijan's attempts to convince the world that there is no blockade, an incident involving children being transported from Goris to Stepanakert under the escort of Russian peacekeepers proved otherwise. He stated, "An unacceptable incident occurred, confirming that the road remains blocked. Children, separated from their families for about six weeks, were attempted to be returned through peacekeepers, but we saw that even in this case, Azerbaijanis allowed themselves to enter the vehicle transporting the children and took footage. This is an obvious violation and caused significant stress for the children."

Regarding the reasons behind the blockade, the minister said, "This is a political blockade, it is not just about blocking the road. Azerbaijan's goal is to eliminate the subjectivity of Artsakh. The struggle is for subjectivity."

Minister Ruben Vardanyan explained his approach to the situation to the members of the government: "I clearly state that our goal is to have an independent Artsakh, which must be safe and developed. This is a crucial objective that is very difficult to achieve. But I consider it the only way forward, and I have come to do everything together to reach this goal," he said.

"The only way to achieve success is for us to be united, and I will indeed work with all those who agree with my principles. We are at a point where we cannot afford to fail." Evaluating the current situation, he noted that it is extremely complex because the old systems and mechanisms do not function under crisis conditions, necessitating the formation of a new and more effective system that responds with flexible solutions to the crisis.

During the consultation, the challenges created in various sectors due to the blockade and the measures aimed at ensuring the livelihood of the population under these conditions were also discussed.
