State Duma Proposes Not Accepting Public Service Candidates Without Military Service
The Chairman of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, has proposed that having a military registration specialty and having served in the Armed Forces be made a mandatory condition for employment in public service. Russian news sources report on this initiative.
He stated that these requirements could also apply to positions within the judiciary, the prosecutor's office, and participation in State Duma elections.
