Putin Orders Increase of Military Personnel to 1.5 Million
Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu announced during a meeting with the command of ongoing military operations in Ukraine that President Vladimir Putin has ordered the military personnel count to be increased to 1.5 million. This information was reported by the Interfax news agency.
According to Shoigu, a new army corps will be established in Karelia, along with three motorized rifle divisions and two airborne divisions. Additionally, seven motorized rifle brigades in the Western, Eastern, and Central military districts will undergo reorganization.
