No Need to Overestimate or Underestimate: Putin on Russia's Economy

When assessing the prospects for the development of Russia's economy, it is important to "neither overestimate nor underestimate anything," stated President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation. This was reported by Kp.ru.

"It is very important not to overstate, not to exaggerate, but also not to underestimate; here it is crucial to truly calculate everything," the head of state said during a meeting dedicated to economic issues.

It should be noted that the president stated that 2022 was a very challenging year for Russia, but the country managed to overcome unexpectedly emerging risks. He added that currently the Russian authorities are approximately aware of what risks will arise in 2023.

The country’s leader also drew attention to the fact that the decline in Russia’s GDP during the first 11 months of 2022 was less than expected—2.1% instead of the projected 2.5%. He urged to focus efforts on maintaining positive dynamics.
