Ethnic Armenian 'Abrek' Awarded for Capturing Soledar

The leader of the Russian private military company 'Wagner', businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin, has awarded Wagner fighter Haik Gasparyan the medal for the 'Capture of Soledar', according to Russian news outlets.

It has been reported that the businessman personally visited the fighters' positions to present the corresponding medals.

During the medal ceremony, Haik Gasparyan, who is known by the nickname 'Abrek', was awarded.

It is noteworthy that prior to this, Russian President Vladimir Putin had presented Gasparyan with the 'For Courage' medal.

According to Russian forces, the capture of Soledar was completed on the evening of January 12.
