156 New Buses Arrive in Yerevan

156 new buses have arrived in Yerevan, consisting of 120 "Zhong Tong" buses and 36 "MAN" buses. This was announced today by Elbak Tarposhyan, the director of the "Yerevan Bus" LLC, during a working conference at the city hall.

The buses have arrived in batches. According to the municipality, the public transport system in Yerevan is set to be upgraded by 90% by the spring of 2023. A total of 165 new buses are planned to be acquired, including 87 of the 12-meter-long MAN buses.

It is worth noting that 10 drivers from the "Yerevan Bus" LLC, which operates under the city hall, traveled to Germany on December 5 for a 12-day training.

As of December 2021, the Yerevan routes were served by 249 units of 2011-manufactured "Higer" buses, 19 units of 2010-2011 "Hyundai" buses, 91 units of "Bogdan" and "PAZ" buses from 2005-2009, as well as nearly 750 microbuses aged 10 years or more.
