All Forms Must Be Used to Bring Parties Back to Dialogue: French National Assembly President
The Minsk Group is one of the existing platforms for dialogue, but it is not the only one. This was stated today by the President of the French National Assembly, Yaël Braun-Pivet, during a press briefing with journalists at the Armenian National Assembly.
She added that it is very important for dialogue to be restored between the parties, and this should be accepted by all participating sides. “We, the parliamentarians, call for a return to the dialogue under the Minsk Group, but I would like to emphasize that this is not the only method; all forms must be used to bring parties back to dialogue,” she said.
The co-chairmanship of the Minsk Group was also discussed by the President of the Armenian National Assembly, Alen Simonian. “By keeping the issue of the OSCE Minsk Group constantly on the agenda, we should not diminish the importance of other platforms,” Simonian noted. He reminded that there are currently 1-2 other platforms created at the proposal of France that are also of significant importance.
