Video: More than 10 Doctors Have Left and Cannot Return to Artsakh, Musayelyan
During this period, more than 10 doctors have left and are unable to return to Artsakh, and naturally, they are unable to fulfill their medical duties. This has led to a significant staff shortage. This was announced by the executive director of the Stepanakert Republican Hospital, Mher Musayelyan, during a video bridge titled "Artsakh: One Month of Blockade" between Stepanakert and Yerevan.
Musayelyan also added that there is a problem with the necessary medications in Artsakh. "There are citizens who periodically go to Armenia or other countries for chemotherapy, radiation, and laser treatment, and they do not have that opportunity. All medical facilities have suspended planned surgeries so that we can direct reserve medications to acute cases. We have children with various illnesses who regularly travel to Armenia for appropriate medical assistance. There are 93 children with bronchial asthma, 66 children with periodic illnesses, 88 children with epilepsy, 16 children with diabetes, and 847 children suffer from congenital heart defects," said Mher Musayelyan, emphasizing that since December 12, these children and other patients have been deprived of the opportunity to receive necessary medical care.
