Kazakhstan to Send First 20,000 Tons of Oil to Germany

Kazakhstan is set to supply its first batch of 20,000 tons of oil to Germany in January. This announcement was made on Wednesday by Kazakhstan's Minister of Energy Bolat Akchulakov, as reported by TASS.

"Now, the first batch will be 20,000 tons," Akchulakov said in response to questions about January's oil deliveries to Germany.

According to him, the volume of oil supplies to Germany, which will begin in January, could increase. "Overall, it can be up to 1.5 million tons annually, but the maximum we could achieve is 6-7 million tons per year," the minister clarified.

He noted that Kazakhstan was waiting for official confirmation from Russia. "We were expecting official confirmation from our partners in the Russian Federation, as the transition is via Russia. But we have received verbal confirmation from the Russian side, I think there will not be a significant problem. Now there is enough capacity; the main thing is for consumers to take it. We have never had major issues with the Russian Federation regarding pumping stations," Akchulakov said.
