Former Chief Prosecutor to be Seized 812 Million Dram
The Anti-Corruption Court accepted the twenty-third claim regarding the confiscation of property of illegal origin for processing on January 3, 2023. The claim was presented to the court by the Prosecutor's Office on December 21, 2022.
The confiscation department of the Prosecutor General’s Office has demanded that 812 million dram be seized from former Chief Prosecutor G.K. and three individuals associated with him for the benefit of the Republic of Armenia. This amount includes one apartment located in Yerevan, two private houses in the communities of Tsaghkadzor and Jruvz, and if this is not possible, their average market value, which amounts to 363 million 565 thousand dram.
Additionally, 173 million 947 thousand 38 dram is demanded as a remainder of illegal income, while 276 million 193 thousand 454 dram is recognized as having an illegal origin, which cannot be substantiated by the individual's legal income and cannot be identified or confiscated from a good-faith purchaser.
