A Total of 16 Patients Transferred from Artsakh to Armenia with the Mediation of the Red Cross
Due to the blockade of the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia by Azerbaijan, three patients have been under doctors' supervision for several days at the Republic Medical Center of the Artsakh Republic, diagnosed with conditions including “Post-removal status of macroadenoma of the pituitary gland, acromegaly, diffuse goiter,” “Post-liver transplantation and chemotherapy status,” and “Papillary carcinoma of the thyroid,” reports Armenpress news agency.
Planned surgeries continue to be suspended in medical facilities operating under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health of Artsakh. At the 'Arevik' medical unit, 11 children are located in the neonatal and intensive care units. At the Republic Medical Center, 9 patients are in the intensive care unit, four of whom are in critical condition. Doctors are making every effort to stabilize the patients' conditions.
So far, a total of 16 patients have been transferred from Artsakh to Armenia with the mediation and escort of the International Committee of the Red Cross. It is to be noted that today, three patients were transferred to various specialized medical centers in the Republic of Armenia with the mediation and escort of the Red Cross.
