Snow, Closed Roads: The Situation on Armenia's Highways

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed highways in the territory of Armenia.

The roads from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station in Aragatsotn Province to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake are closed. The Vardenyats Pass is difficult to traverse for trucks with trailers.

In Vayots Dzor Province, snow is falling in the cities of Kapan, Kajaran, and Goris in Syunik Province.

According to information provided by the Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia’s North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
