Pavel Kamnev, Creator of Kalibr Missiles, Passes Away

Pavel Kamnev, the scientific leader of Almaz-Antey and the creator of the Kalibr missiles, has passed away. This was reported by Kommersant.ru. He was 85 years old.

The company's press service released a statement noting that Kamnev died on January 9, 2023, at the age of 86.

Kamnev was a Doctor of Technical Sciences and a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences. He was also the author of more than 20 inventions.

According to open data, Pavel Kamnev is credited as the creator of the Kalibr missile systems.
