First Christmas Mass Held in Diyarbakir’s Surb Kirqos Church After 8-Year Hiatus

For the first time in 8 years, a Christmas Mass has been held at the Surb Kirqos Church in Diyarbakir (Tigranokert). This event was reported by ermenihaber.

The church had suffered significant damage following clashes that began in Sur in 2015, but it has since reopened after restoration.

Father Nathan Arabyan traveled from Istanbul to Diyarbakir to participate in the mass, along with many Armenians from various cities and co-chairs of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) provincial committee. During his speech, Arabyan called for tranquility, peace, and brotherhood.
