Larsi is Closed for Trucks: What Is the Situation on the Roads?

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed roads within the territory of Armenia. The roads from the 'Amberd' high-mountain meteorological station in Aragatsotn Province to the Amberd Fortress and the Karch Lake are closed.

In Syunik Province, snow is falling in Vardenis and Chambarak of Gegharkunik Province, as well as in the city of Jermuk in Vayots Dzor Province and in the Saravan-'Zanger' section.

On the Yerevan-Sevan road, between kilometers 26-35, there are patches of black ice. According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed for trucks. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
