Fire in the Area Known as 'Kachah Mountain' Spread from Azerbaijani Occupied Territory

The fire that broke out in the Goris region started from the Azerbaijani-occupied area known as 'Kachah Mountain' and has spread further. This was reported by Irina Yolyan, the Deputy Mayor of Goris, in an interview with Armenia Today, addressing the videos circulating on social media showing that a fire has erupted in the area of Lake Sev.

According to Yolyan, the fire began around 9 a.m. and has expanded. 'Part of the fire has been extinguished, but due to weather conditions after noon, the fire has spread further. Currently, part of it has been extinguished, and work to fully extinguish the fire is ongoing,' she stated.

Yolyan did not rule out the hypothesis regarding actions by Azerbaijani armed forces. 'The likelihood is high that they have acted intentionally,' she noted.
