We May Soon Be Unable to Replenish Food Stocks: Davit Galstyan

Food, supplies, and medicine in Artsakh are increasingly in shortage, yet we are still managing to cope. This was stated by Davit Galstyan, the leader of the "Justice" faction of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh, during an interview with 24News, addressing the situation created by the blockade of the Lachin corridor during the New Year period.

“Everything is gradually decreasing. There are no serious problems with medications yet; there may be some shortages of specific drugs, but overall, we are still managing,” said the Artsakh MP.

Galstyan noted that the population is still meeting their needs thanks to prior New Year purchases. “In anticipation of the New Year, people had made some purchases and stocked up. However, we may soon find ourselves unable to replenish food reserves. People will gradually begin to feel the presence of problems; for now, there is no noticeable shortage,” concluded Davit Galstyan.

It should be reminded that since 10:30 AM on December 12, Azerbaijani groups posing as “environmentalists” have blocked the Goris-Stepanakert highway connecting Armenia to Artsakh (Lachin corridor) in the Shushi-Karin Tak area.
